Following the UK Government’s announcements earlier this week regarding school closures, QEGS will be closed for a period, starting today. This unfortunately means Pioneer79 will not have access to the pool after our session this evening.
It is only right and fair to our swimmers and parents that we make this announcement. We understand the frustrations of those who have been training hard for competitions, but the health and wellbeing of our athletes, coaches and volunteers is of paramount importance to us.
We would like to apologise to everyone for any inconvenience and disappointment these cancellations may cause, but hope you understand this decision has been taken out of our hands due to the unprecedented situation we are facing.
I appreciate many of you will have questions around contingency planning, fees, galas etc, but please bear with the club as we respond to this news. As a group of volunteers, we are working hard behind the scenes and aim to make a further statement next week.
