Tolman is delighted to announce that it has achieved accreditation in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management.
As a pioneering and fast-moving engineering-led company that’s centred around bespoke projects, concours-standard restorations, historic race preparation and contemporary GT racing, ISO 9001 certification validates Tolman’s ability to achieve the highest of standards of work.
ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an independent, non-governmental global organisation made up of 164 national bodies, where experts impart their wisdom and develop consensus-based, market-relevant International Standards that encourage innovation and provide solutions to worldwide challenges.
Since 1947, ISO has published more than 23,000 International Standards that cover almost all aspects of technology and manufacturing.
Following a two-stage, four-day audit, Tolman has been recognised for its quality management and its efforts to reduce its environmental impact.
The ISO 9001 framework helps companies from a range of market sectors meet customers’ needs and consistently increase quality, and Tolman has implemented the standards to improve efficiency and demonstrate its ongoing commitment to safety, reliability and quality.
ISO 14001, meanwhile, is the International Standard for Environmental Management, and it provides real solutions to help companies become more environmentally aware and eco-friendly.
Not only does the certificate advocate Tolman’s green credentials, but it will help the engineering company reduce costs, overheads and wastage, and ensure it complies with increasingly stringent environmental laws and regulations.
Tolman’s General Manager, Nick Boaz, said: “Achieving ISO accreditation demonstrates Tolman’s desire and ability to work to the highest of standards for our clients and partners, while making sure we’re as environmentally friendly as possible. It’s a process of continual improvement and quality will remain a priority, not only because our ISO certification is subject to an annual audit, but because it’s important for us to satisfy existing clients, attract new business, reduce costs and minimise our impact on the environment.”
