Will Hunt has been chosen as an Abruzzi Racewear Brand Ambassador, and the Sussex-based racing driver will sport bespoke clothing at each of his race meetings, test days and promotional events under the new and lucrative Official Apparel Partnership.
Abruzzi has long supplied branded apparel to high-profile sim racing teams like Williams eSports and personalities like Youtuber and social media influencer Jimmy Broadbent.
However, the burgeoning clothing company has formed a new strategic partnership with Radical SR1 Cup frontrunner Hunt in a bid to increase awareness and demonstrate its ability to design and market high performance custom apparel for racing teams and drivers at all levels of real-world motorsport.
Abruzzi has created a look that’s clean, professional and completely unique to Hunt, who will act as an official Brand Ambassador and sport its British-made jackets, t-shirts, polos, shorts and trousers, as well as accessories like caps, beanies and gloves, at all race meetings, test days and promotional events.
Under the terms of the partnership, Abruzzi logos will feature prominently on the #21 Scorpio Motorsport-prepared Radical SR1 race car, and on each one of Hunt’s digital channels, including the willhuntracing.com website, Facebook and Instagram.
Abruzzi Founder, Ben Llewellyn, said: “I’ve always been a huge motor racing enthusiast and the sport is a perfect fit for Abruzzi, which values innovation, success and precision. To step from virtual to real-world racing is incredibly exciting, and we believe this new partnership with rising star Will Hunt will give us a strong platform on which to showcase our top-quality designs to the motorsport community and its fanbase. There’s no doubting Will and Abruzzi’s desire to succeed, and we’re really looking forward to climbing the motorsport ladder together.”
Hunt added: “It’s always exciting to launch a new partnership and I’m thrilled that Abruzzi Racewear recognises my strength and potential, not only as a racing driver but also as a Brand Ambassador. For me, a priority is to present a professional image for the forward-thinking companies that see me as a ‘value proposition’ and somebody who can raise awareness and take brands to new audiences through motorsport. I couldn’t be happier with the way my existing sponsors and partners are represented on my new and bespoke Abruzzi apparel, and I’m confident the partnership will lift our image.”
