As of 25 July 2020, indoor swimming can recommence, and I would like to reassure parents and guardians that Pioneer79 Swimming Club is working incredibly hard with our pool providers to return as soon and as safely as possible.
The decision over when to reopen rests with our pool providers, Accrington Academy and QEGS Blackburn, but we are in regular contact with them to establish our return to swimming procedures, so please bear with us.
A lot of hard work has already gone on behind the scenes to ensure Pioneer79 complies with ASA guidance and our environment is as safe as it possibly can be.
Pioneer79 will be distributing member guides; our rules and all relevant documentation will need to be signed by both swimmers and their parents or guardians before being granted access to the pools.
It is of utmost importance that we look after and protect every individual involved with the club and I would kindly ask that parents and guardians allow our committee, coaches and volunteers time to get all the necessary procedures in place, while we continue working to ensure Accrington Academy and QEGS permit us to resume swimming at the earliest opportunity.
