Firstly, I hope you and your families are all well and safe. It has been fantastic to see so many of you sharing your ways of staying active, and I must thank our coaches, who are doing their best to stay connected to our swimmers.
The Academy closed on 17 March for a period of four weeks, but while it is currently due to reopen in mid-April, this may well be pushed back.
At present, we are asking all members to continue paying the full fee, due on Wednesday 1 April. We are working on contingency plans, reviewing the government’s support plans, fee reductions and make-up classes, should the pool be shut for a second month.
These are extraordinary times, but rest assured that we are working with our membership, with Pioneer79 Swimming Club’s future at the forefront of our actions.
We will make another statement regarding the reopening of the pool as soon as we have any information or on Monday 6 April. If closed, we will communicate our “long term closure” fee policy.
