DW Racing and Racing Women are proud to unveil an exciting new partnership that will commence in the final round of the 2025 Fine Cut Radical Cup UK at Donington Park (20-21 September).

The race and title-winning DW Racing team will field a pair of Radical SR3 XXRs for four of ten female racers who will take to the grid for the inaugural Racing Women Nations Trophy, with Johanna Flatabø Thrane and Michelle Sundnäs partnering in the #30 Team Nordic entry, and Jorden Dolischka and Nathalie Neumann sharing the #20 car.

RACING WOMEN: DRIVER DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY & COMMUNITY

Motorsport has long been a male-dominated arena, and the fact women are still exceptions is attributed to a lack of role models, low visibility in the media, and limited access to training and funding.

Racing Women is a global movement built on two decades of female empowerment – an evolution of the Formula Woman initiative that was founded by motorsport expert Graeme Glew in 2004.

More than an organisation, Racing Women is an international community that is passionate about encouraging female participation in motorsport both on and off the track.

The mission is to inspire, support, and develop the next generation of female Champions through opportunity, training, and cooperation, so the Racing Women programme includes coaching, workshops, trackdays, physical and mental training.

However, Racing Women is set to make history by hosting the very first Nations Trophy at Donington Park, where ten female drivers representing eight different countries will take on the men in the 2025 Radical Cup UK grand finale.

The stakes are high, as the winner will earn a once-in-a-lifetime chance to showcase their talent on an international stage with a fully sponsored entry for the opening round of the Gulf Radical Cup at Yas Marina Circuit – the home of the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – on 1 November.

#30 TEAM NORDIC: JOHANNA THRANE & MICHELLE SUNDNAS

DW Racing – the latest team to be drafted in to the burgeoning Racing Women programme – will field two Radical SR3 XXRs at Donington Park, Norway’s Johanna Thrane and Sweden’s Michelle Sundnäs partnering in the #30 car to form Team Nordic.

At just 21 years old, Thrane has been carving out her place in motorsport since a chance sighting of an advert for an entry-level motorsport programme inspired her to get behind the wheel.

Thrane has so far developed her on-track skills in both national and international Radical Cup races while also balancing her day job as a healthcare worker.

Her long-term goal is to compete in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, and she credits Racing Women for giving her the chance to take racing seriously, saying: “Without Racing Women, I might have just done one or two races and thought, ‘this is fun.’ But with their support, I can actually see a path forward in motorsport, and that’s made me even more determined.”

Sundnäs spends her weekdays working as a preschool teacher and school bus driver, but, come the weekend, she straps into a race car and lives her second life at full throttle.

The 40-year-old from Uppsala, Sweden has been competing in her home nation for several years, most notably in the fiercely competitive BMW 325 Cup.

However, in December 2024, Sundnäs represented Sweden in a global women’s motorsport event that brought together 50 drivers from 26 countries at Dubai Autodrome, and she now feels primed for her next chapter in the Radical Cup UK.

“When I’m not driving my 400bhp race car on-track, I slow it right down to get the kids around safely in my big bus,” said Sundnäs. “Motorsport is all about balance and focus, and I’m looking forward to the challenge of racing in the UK with Team Nordic.”

#20 RACING WOMEN: JORDEN DOLISCHKA & NATHALIE NEUMANN

DW Racing will prepare and run the #20 Radical SR3 XXR for Austrian racer Jorden Dolischka and Luxembourg’s Nathalie Neumann, who faced off against each other in the opening round of the 2025 season at Donington Park, before later returning as teammates under the Racing Women banner.

Dolischka continues to balance education with racing and is keen to build on her sharp progression through the ranks with DW Racing’s assistance, in readiness for international competition.

“To participate in the Radical Cup UK for the Racing Women Nations Trophy is a big opportunity,” said Dolischka. “It’s important for me to find a strong footing and I am sure DW Racing’s support will help me learn and grow as a racing driver.

“I feel great about joining DW Racing, as the team members have welcomed me in with open arms and make me feel as though they want to get the best out of me. My first priority is to pick up where I left off at Snetterton and improve from there.”

Neumann, meanwhile, mastered car control and racecraft in Autocross before transitioning to circuit racing, proving her ability to adapt to faster machinery and more competitive grids in Radicals.

Her determination was on full display at the Dubai Nations Cup qualifiers in 2024, where a top ten finish against a global field of female competitors earned her recognition as one of Luxembourg’s standout representatives in international women’s motorsport.

Now competing in Radical Cup UK, Neumann brings experience across disciplines and a clear focus on her long-term goals that will undoubtedly help her grow as a driver and a role model for the next generation of young racers.

“It means a lot to be part of a team that supports and empowers women in motorsport,” said Neumann. “I’m super excited to be joining DW Racing in the Fine Cut Radical Cup UK. After the last race, I have really focused on improving myself, and my goal is to continue on an upward trajectory on the track and defend the Teams Trophy with my teammates.”

DW Racing Team Owner, Darren Winter, said: “We are incredibly proud to be launching this exciting new partnership with Racing Women, especially as the movement’s ethos is compatible with my own. I am a passionate advocate for equal opportunities and one of my core priorities is to ensure every single DW Racing team member knows they are valued equally. We are a family and I have purposely created a professional, fun and friendly environment in which people can thrive and perform at their very best.

“This is why I believe Racing Women and DW Racing can do something truly special together. Our team of expert coaches, engineers, mechanics and media personnel will enhance the great work the Racing Women initiative is already doing. We want to elevate the on and off-track abilities of Johanna (Thrane), Michelle (Sundnäs), Jorden (Dolischka) and Nathalie (Neumann), to create well-rounded racing drivers and maximise their chances of winning the inaugural Nations Trophy.”
